I guess you really only know if your disaster-recovery systems actually work, when the bad stuff hits the fan.

Yesterday, a Server had catastrophic hardware failure in Aberfeldy. All systems down, the lot.

When we arrived, be promptly made one of the PC's into a temporary file server, and restored the data (My Docs, Sage etc) from Back Ups. Email was converted from Exchange Server to POP3 mailboxes. in English, by 4pm the same day, they were trading again.

So, on the whole, this "disaster" has been handled extremely well. New Server being ordered today.
